Footings – Final Inspection Checklist for Home Builder
This checklist ensures that footings are installed correctly and meet all quality and dimensional standards before the trade contractor leaves the jobsite. It focuses on verifying alignment, leveling, and cleanliness, ensuring a solid foundation for the next phase of construction.
Verify the depth and width of the concrete is correct
Ensure corners are square
Confirm footings are level and plumb
Verify footings are straight with no more than a 4-inch deviation over 20 feet
Check that all setout or setback dimensions are correct
Confirm overall dimensions match the plans
Ensure no aggregate is exposed in any area
Clean the site and remove excess concrete
