Waterproofing – Final Inspection Checklist for Home Builder
This checklist ensures that waterproofing is applied consistently and thoroughly, meeting quality and coverage standards. It emphasizes correct drain pipe placement, proper thickness of waterproofing, and the cleanliness of the work area.
Ensure waterproofing fully covers all foundation areas from footing to the top of grade
Verify waterproofing is of consistent thickness with no thin or missed spots
Ensure stone is 2 inches below the drain pipe and 4 inches above the drain pipe
Confirm the drain pipe extends at least 2 feet beyond the outside edge of the footing and 6 inches above the top of the footing
Clear the work area of all building debris
Verify the lineal footage of the foundation with the Site Superintendent
Flag all drain pipes to prevent damage by other trade contractors
